The rugby player is very successful due to his resilient nature on the field.</p><p>2. Appease (v.) – To bring to a state of peace, calm, or contentment . Some hotels that are under renovation are trying new ideas to appease guests.</p><p>3. Trepidation (n.) – Trembling fear, alarm, or agitation . Holiday fliers know the trepidation of travel on some of the year's busiest dates.</p><p>4. Imperative (adj.) – Extremely important; urgent . Every once in a while a news program will stop regular programming to share an imperative message with viewers.</p><p>5. Tangible (adj.) – Capable of being touched or felt; having actual form or substance . His dream seemed so real it was as if everything in it was tangible.</p><p>6. Condone (v.) – To forgive or overlook . Most teachers will only condone the use of a cell phone in the case of an emergency</p><p>7. Deplorable (adj.) – Subject for disapproval; very bad . The teacher found the student’s attitude deplorable and would not accept it in class.</p><p>8. Futile (adj.) – Ineffective; useless; not successful . The workers made a futile attempt to control the flooding of the dam.</p><p>9. Precarious (adj.) – Dangerous; unstable; insecure . The strong wind almost knocked him off of his precarious perch on the edge of the cliff.</p><p>10.Affable (adj.) – Approachable and easy to talk to; friendly . The affable host greeted us with kind words as we entered his home</p>
