<p> Read 180 Lesson Plans: November 12-16 and 19-20 Objectives: Objectives: DOL (grammar, sentence structure, capitalization, spelling, punctuation, parts of speech review, grammar & usage, analogies, fact/opinion, homophones, synonyms/antonyms, and word meaning from context) vocabulary, reading comprehension, literacy & active reading strategies, non-fiction reading, context clues, main idea and supporting details, creative thinking & poetry writing, and working.</p><p>Monday: Whole Group: DOL- Mon.12 rBook pgs. 8-9: Vocabulary – Read and complete together Read 180 Rotations Small Group: Complete the Vocabulary Builder worksheet with your group and turn in for a grade. Independent Reading (students must read and complete at least 3 books per quarter) Computer: (students work on the Read 180 computer program)</p><p>Tuesday: 10:48-11:30 rBook pgs. 10-11: read, discuss vocab/questions, and complete all main idea work together as a class for “School Before Soccer”. Quick video of Freddy Adu if time No rotations today due to Class Meeting at 11:30</p><p>Wednesday: Whole Group: DOL- Wed.12 Explain Main Idea Packets. Complete pg. 8 “What is Main Idea” and pg. 10 “Exercise 1”. Then show how to record points. Read 180 Rotations Small Group: Complete Exercises 2 & 3 in the Main Idea packet, get checked, and record points. Independent Reading (students must read and complete at least 3 books per quarter) Computer: (students work on the Read 180 computer program)</p><p>Thursday: Whole Group: DOL- Thurs.12 rBook pgs. 12-13: read story, discuss & complete vocab/questions for “Fitting In”. Read 180 Rotations Small Group: Complete Exercises 4 & 5 in the Main Idea packet, get checked, and record points. Independent Reading (students must read and complete at least 3 books per quarter) Computer: (students work on the Read 180 computer program)</p><p>Friday: Whole Group: DOL- Fri.12 Reread rBook pg.13, then read pg. 14, and discuss & complete vocab/questions for “Fitting In” on 14 &15. Read 180 Rotations Small Group: Finish page 15 if run out of time in Whole Group Complete Exercises 6 & 7 in the Main Idea packet, get checked, and record points. Independent Reading (students must read and complete at least 3 books per quarter) Computer: (students work on the Read 180 computer program) Monday: 11/19 Whole Group: Explain “Even so, I am Thankful For...” Poem, write rough drafts and proofread Read 180 Rotations Small Group: Continue working on rough drafts and editing of poems or complete Thanksgiving activities if done. Independent Reading (students must read and complete at least 3 books per quarter) Computer: (students work on the Read 180 computer program)</p><p>Tuesday: 11/20 Whole Group: Do final copies of poems and illustrate. Read 180 Rotations Small Group: Continue working on final copies and illustrations of poems or complete Thanksgiving activities if done.
