Until that advice is confirmed, enforcement teams nationally have been asked not to request the court to issue a summons or warrant to secure attendance at court in respect of a young person for non-payment. Should members receive such applications during this interim period, they may wish to refer to their Justices’ Clerk for further advice.

The position in respect of adults is not affected and enforcement teams will continue to secure the attendance of parents or guardians who were made responsible for payment of the order at imposition as appropriate.

Further guidance will issue shortly.

Yours sincerely,

The Justices’ Clerks Society
