<p> NHTI, Concord’s Community College- SUPPLEMENTAL JOB DESCRIPTION</p><p>FLSA: Non-Exempt EEO-6 CODE: 3-30 (Professional) SOC CODE: 13-9199 CLASSIFICATION: Program Planner I CLASSIFICATION CODE: 711300 POSITION TITLE: Job Readiness Program Coordinator DATE ESTABLISHED: 2/19/13 POSITION NUMBER: C1G00003 DATE OF LAST AMENDMENT: 2/19/13</p><p>SCOPE OF WORK: To develop and coordinate the training programs, services, and operations of the Job Readiness Program at NHTI, Concord’s Community College. This position reports to the Director of the Business Training Center (BTC) at NHTI, Concord’s Community College.</p><p>ACCOUNTABILITIES:  Develops strategies and an implementation plan for the structure, organization, direction, policies and services of the Job Readiness Program;  Coordinates the day-to-day operations of Job Readiness Program including: overseeing the day to day operations including, but not limited to: supervising trainers and staff, as assigned; purchasing goods and services; monitoring grant allocations and expenses in conjunct with the TAACCCT Grant Manager; allocating resources to meet established goals and objectives; and scheduling facility usage;  Compiles and maintains program related data and prepares reports to meet reporting requirements of the Job Readiness Program;  Assists the Director of Workforce Development in managing all phases of the Job Readiness budget;  Assists in the recruitment, selection, training, and evaluation of trainers/instructors for the Job Readiness Program;  Under the direction of the Director of the BTC, conducts on-site assessments of business and industry training/job readiness needs and supports program development and employee training and serves as program liaison with business, industry, and government;  Coordinates marketing efforts in the dissemination of information on the Job Readiness Program;  Works collaboratively with ACT, NH Department of Resources and Economic Development, NH Department of Employment Security, the Governor’s Office, and various social services agencies in the delivery of the Job Readiness Program;  Maintains knowledge of ACT’s Job Readiness Certification program (Work Keys and Key Train) and new educational technologies with particular emphasis on modularized and self-study formats, and online learning platforms;  Maintains current knowledge and understanding of issues and practices in human resources management and adult learning, especially in the area of worker readiness;  Complies with all college, system, state and federal rules and regulations;  Other duties as assigned.</p><p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university with major study in education, business administration, public administration, or human resources management. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience. Experience: Two (2) years of experience in corporate/business training, teaching, academic or career advising, curriculum/training program development, and/or human resources with responsibility for program planning, monitoring, and evaluation. Each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.</p><p>License/Certification: Possession of a valid Driver’s License or access to statewide transportation. </p><p>SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: For appointment consideration, applicants must successfully participate in a structured interview measuring possession of knowledge, skills and abilities identified as necessary for satisfactory job performance by this class specification. The structured interview is developed and administered, according to CCSNH guidelines.</p><p>RECOMMENDED WORK TRAITS: Knowledge of the policies and regulations relevant to the program area in which assigned. Knowledge of grant proposal writing. Knowledge of training, planning, budgeting and programming within specialized program area. Working knowledge of research and planning methods and planning techniques. General knowledge of current social and economic problems. Ability to detect and define problem areas and causes and to create and develop effective solutions, including the exercise of sound judgment in evaluating situations, planning action, making decisions and setting priorities. Ability to work independently to develop new or alternative approaches to meet changing and variable conditions. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with various levels of government and the general public.
