Weekly Work Summary

Date: Due Date To: Dr. Hal Tharp From: Your Name Subject: Summary of My Activities During the Previous Week

(Make sure you generate enough copies of your weekly work summary. You must turn in a copy to the ECE 498 course instructor, your academic project advisor, your project sponsor, and you should keep a copy with your course material/records.)

Structure: Your summary should be organized into three parts. Each part should contain a brief description.

I. What you planned to accomplish.

II. What work/activities were performed or completed.

III. What you plan to do next week.

Example:

I. I planned to study DC-DC power conversion. This study was to include some analysis and prototyping of the necessary circuits with the end result being the selection of a conversion approach.

II. I learned about the various types of DC-DC converters. The main converter categories are buck, boost, and buck-boost. I decided to purchase an off-the-shelf DC- DC converter. I ordered three converters (for prototyping, testing, and possibly including in the final design). The converter modules transform 9V to 3.3V.

III. Next week I plan to test the converter under different loading conditions. I will need to plan the testing protocol. I also need to verify that my design will indeed meet the requirements specified by our overall system.
