<p> ADENDUM TO MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN LOS ANGELES UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT AND LOS ANGELES COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF MENTAL HEALTH CONTRACTED PROVIDER</p><p>THE FOLLOWING PROVISIONS ARE ADDED TO SECTION 7, BILLING, OF THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING:</p><p>Provider is a contract agency of the Los Angeles County Department of Mental </p><p>Health. In providing mental health services on school sites, Provider is required to comply with all the rules and regulations of the California State Department of </p><p>Mental Health and the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, which includes procedures to assess clients’ ability to pay for services. Individuals and/or families (clients) referred to Provider will be assessed through an intake evaluation that includes a financial screening. Medi-Cal and other third-party payors will be billed for services to eligible clients in accordance with the rules and regulations of the California State Department of Mental Health. Noneligible clients may be assessed a fee based on a sliding scale provided by the California</p><p>State Department of Mental Health entitled, “Uniform Patient Fee Schedule, </p><p>Community Mental Health Services,” October 1, 1989, which is attached hereto as Exhibit B and made a part hereof. Clients who cannot afford the fee may apply to the Provider for reduction or waiver of fee assessed.</p>
