Purpose: Why do we have an election of governing body policy? The election process also ensures that the members of our organisation have the opportunity to nominate and select individuals whom they judge to have the required skills and commitment to represent their interests in governing the organisation. </p><p>You may wish to write your own purpose statement for your organisation.
