The need for social workers trained and skilled in working in end-of-life care has increased, because of advancements in medical technology, rising rates of chronic illness, increasing number of older patients, and longer life spans. This series of webinars will increase the knowledge and comfort level of social workers and others who work with patients and families to conduct advance care planning conversations to ensure that end-of-life care treatment preferences are informed and honored.</p><p>At the completion of this series, participants should be able to:  Review the ethics of end-of-life decision making;  Describe WV health care law as it applies to frequent challenging end-of-life issues; and  Present a systematic process for analyzing and resolving challenging cases.</p><p>Course Faculty Jeanie Brenneman, MSW, LCSW – Social Worker, Amedisys Hospice Alvin H.
