<p> NetCIL Online Information </p><p>Amazon Hosting and Pricing Options</p><p>We recommend that you run NetCIL applications on an Amazon AWS virtual server. On a virtual server you can securely access your information anywhere, anytime. You can also download data and take it into the field, where you can work with or without an internet connection. There are four different Amazon server configurations that you can choose from:</p><p>Type Annual Cost Recommended Use</p><p>Micro $1000 1-2 users; no screen reader users</p><p>Small $1400 3-10 users; no screen reader users</p><p>Medium $1700 11-20 users; 1 screen reader user</p><p>Large $2100 11-20 users; 2 or more screen reader users</p><p>“Users” in this case means simultaneous users; there is no limit to the total number of user accounts. The numbers of users listed here are only recommended values; performance can vary based on the nature of your operation. If you sign up for an AWS system, you can always scale to a more powerful server simply by contacting us.</p><p>“ Screen reader users” assumes that some members of your staff use either GW Micro’s Window Eyes or Freedom Scientific’s JAWS. Because these applications impose a high resource load, a medium or large virtual server is recommended. The costs listed here do not include the cost of screen reader software acquisition. Your current screen reader license will probably be adequate for installation on your virtual server, but you should contact your software vendor for more information. Ask them about Windows Remote Desktop configuration. We can assist with installation. For other screen reader software, please contact us.</p><p>“Annual Cost” includes virtual server rental and administration, automated and encrypted daily data backup service, automated daily database maintenance, automated NetCIL and server operating system software updates, and unlimited support via telephone and e-mail during regular business hours.</p><p>Other Hosting Options</p><p>1. You can also run NetCIL on your own equipment, where hardware is owned and maintained by you. No internet connection is required, and you completely control whether or not outside access to your data is allowed. A server is recommended but not required; a suggested configuration is detailed at the end of this document. Does not include hardware support). If your staff or contracted IT service configures the server, there is no setup fee charged by ed2c for NetCIL installation. We can configure your server hardware and software and ship it to you for you for a flat fee of $800 (does not include hardware support or hardware/software acquisition cost).</p><p>2. You can run NetCIL on dedicated hardware that is owned by you but physically controlled and maintained by us. The hardware is housed in a secure facility in Louisville, Kentucky with a very-high speed (up to 100 Mb/sec up + down) internet connection, climate control, and backup power. Annual cost: $1900. Setup fee: $750 (does not include hardware/software acquisition or any requisite hardware repair costs). </p><p>Suggested configuration to run NetCIL on dedicated equipment</p><p>Hardware:</p><p>A Dell T210II or a T310 with 8 Gb of memory and at least RAID 1 – Approximate cost: $850 - $1400 depending on other configuration options.
