<p> OAKLEIGH FAIRS Thrift Farm House Horkesley Hill Nayland, Colchester Essex CO6 4JP</p><p>Dear Steam Enthusiast,</p><p>OAKLEIGH FAIRS’ 2017 EVENTS</p><p>We are pleased to bring you our 2017 programme and feel that it offers a wonderful range of geography, splendour and pullability for you to be involved in. </p><p>We are keen to build on the success of the Steam focused event at Knebworth House Park which will be on 12 & 13 August which will include a parade and other. </p><p>The Cambridge Town & Country Show takes place in Cambridge city centre on 10 & 11 June and is a free-to-enter event. We will be able to have around 6 full size and 6 scale engines so first come first serve - this is slightly fewer than last year as we have more restrictions from the council.</p><p>We have a new event, the South Cambridgeshire Country & Steam Fair taking place on 24 & 25 June at Horseheath Racecourse where there used to be a steam event a few years back. We want to bring the steam element back to a show that has been building for a couple of years now.</p><p>We also want to bring more steam and vintage vehicles to Tatton Park and Rockingham Castle as well as having a showing, albeit smaller, at our other shows with a couple of full size and scale at Morden Hall, Lee Valley and Poole etc. We have had to drop a couple of shows due to venues changing their event policy and are sorry if any of these were your favourites.</p><p>At each show we will provide water and an area for camping. You provide your coal.</p><p>Expenses will be as follows for Steaming Up:</p><p>£125 per day per full size engine £50 per day for scale engines </p><p>We hope you find this acceptable and will of course pay participants in cash at the event. If we exceed our budget you may be able to attend without receiving a fee. Engines will be able to arrive the day before the show and it may be possible to stay until the day after - check with the office!
