<p>October 23, 2013</p><p>Dear Parents,</p><p>Greetings from Amber, Eliza and Tomoko! We are happy to introduce ourselves as the room parent committee for Mrs. Slater’s class this school year. We are very excited to work together to help out Mrs. Slater with everything from classroom parties, field trips, Science Day, Field Day and other various needs including classroom supplies, special classroom decorations and such. We look forward to working with all the students, and hope to enrich their classroom experiences when these special events come up.</p><p>In order to do so, we’d like to ask for your help. We’ll be looking for volunteers for parties, field trips, etc. If you are interested, please fill out the form below. When we need help, we will send out an email to you to see if you are available. You’re welcome to help as much as you like, or if your schedule only allows for one time, that’s great too!</p><p>We are also collecting donations now to cover the costs for the entire year’s classroom events, including three parties (Fall Harvest, Valentine’s Day and End of the Year Celebration) , and snacks/water for Jump Rope for Heart and Field Day. A suggestion of $5-$10 donation per student is greatly appreciated, but any amount would be helpful. Please send your donation in an envelope with your child’s name on it, marked “classroom party fund”, and place it in your child’s classroom folder. Mrs. Slater will forward your envelope to us. Cash is preferred, but if you send a check, please make it payable to Tomoko Bryant. Please send your donation by October 31st so that we can plan/budget for our upcoming party.</p><p>Our first party this fall will be themed “Creatures of the Night” and on Friday, November 1st! We thought as the students will be learning about nocturnal animals, this will be a great way to celebrate the knowledge of the “creatures”. We will be playing fun games, creating a craft, and decorating a delicious treat.
