It is designed to help the student attain proficiency in listening and speaking as they pertain to personal characteristics and features of their environment and the world. Catalog Description: SPAN 7, Beginning Spanish Conversation II 2 Units This course builds upon the skills and language acquisition of Spanish 6. It is designed to help the student attain proficiency in listening and speaking as they pertain to personal characteristics and features of their environment and the world. The student will learn basic vocabulary and the proper conjugation of present tense verbs and will apply them in conversational contexts.</p><p>II. Expected Student Learning Outcomes Upon successful completion of the course students should be able to perform the following activities with 70% accuracy.</p><p>A. Pronounce and use possessive adjectives and prepositions.</p><p>B. Pronounce and use in conversation common Spanish cognates and selected phrases.</p><p>C. Ask and respond to questions about personal characteristics, food, clothing, colors, weather, countries, languages, and animals.</p><p>D. Conjugate –ar, -er, and –ir regular verbs in the present tense, as demonstrated through responses to written exercises and in conversation.</p><p>III. Course Content</p><p>A.
