Approved minutes from previous meeting</p><p>. Approved Financial Report</p><p>. Approved the Five-Year Forecast.</p><p>Public Participation and Recognition:</p><p>. The board recognized Frazeysburg Elementary School for achieving the designation of Excellent from the State Board of Education for being recognize as a State Superintendent’s School of Promise for the 2007-08 school year.</p><p>. Nashport Elementary School was also recognized by the board as being designated a School of Distinction for the 2006-07 and 2007-08 school years. Personnel Items:</p><p>Certified:</p><p>. Approved eight (8) weeks of maternity leave for Sara McCurdy, Adamsville 5/6 grade teacher, beginning on or about December 15, 2008.</p><p>Classified:</p><p>. Accepted the resignation of Teresa Pitts as educational aide at Frazeysburg Elementary School.</p><p>. Approved the recommendation of a limited contract for the remainder of the 2008-09 school year as part-time special education assistants at TVMS to Derek Tyson and Teresa Pitts.</p><p>. Approved Linda Gill for a part-time cook position at TVMS and Anita Black as part-time cook at Nashport for the 2008-09 school year.</p><p>Supplementals:</p><p>. Accepted the resignation of Larry Welch as varsity golf coach. Mr. Welch has been the coach for 21 years.</p><p>. Accepted the resignation from Mike Fitz as Freshmen Boys Basketball Coach.</p><p>. Issued contracts to the following coaches for the 2008-09 school year:</p><p>Shawn McVicker – Freshmen Boys Basketball Coach Mike Fitz – 8th Grade Boys Basketball Coach Andy Slaughter – 7th Grade Boys Basketball Coach Courtney Shirer – 7th Grade Girls Basketball Coach Shaye Corder – 9th Grade Girls Basketball Volunteer </p><p>Superintendent’s Report:</p><p>. Approved all Professional Leave Requests.</p><p>. Approved a trip for Brad Sims and his Holocaust class to visit historical sites in Washington, D.C. from February 27 – March 1, 2009. Cost will be paid for by students. Transportation will be with Croswell Student Tours out of Williamsburg, OH, they provide one free chaperone for every 10 students. </p><p>. Approved a trip for Judy Martin, advisor, and twelve students from her Family & Consumer Science Class to attend the National FCCLA Cluster Leadership Meeting in Cincinnati, on November 21-21, 2008. They will travel by chartered bus.</p><p>.
