<p> WASECA PUBLIC SCHOOLS WASECA, MINNESOTA</p><p>The School Board of Independent School District No. 829 held a regular meeting on Thursday, October 4, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. in the Central Intermediate School Auditorium. Board members present: Mike Gehloff, Joe Hoehn, Robert Whitney, Christine Baidoo SkiAnn Christiansen, Gary Conrath and Jorge Diaz. Also in attendance: John Rokke, Superintendent of Schools and Elizabeth Beery, Director of Business Services.</p><p>1. Baidoo moved, Diaz seconded a motion to approve the minutes of the regular meeting of September 20, 2007. Unanimous.</p><p>2. Conrath moved, Hoehn seconded a motion to approve the agenda and additional agenda items as presented at the meeting. Unanimous.</p><p>3. The following committee reports were given: John Rokke, MSBA Fall Meeting; John Rokke, Superintendent Report; Joe Hoehn, Community Arena Meeting; Students Megan Cunningham and Andrew Harrison, Bluejay Debit Card.</p><p>4. Discussion was held on ALC Staffing. Hoehn moved, Diaz seconded a motion to approve the hiring of a special education teacher for the ALC. Unanimous.</p><p>5. Hoehn moved, Gehloff seconded a motion to approve the teaching staff lane changes for 2007-2008. Unanimous.</p><p>6. Baidoo moved, Diaz seconded a motion to approve the 2007-2009 Work Agreement for the Community Education Program Coordinator and Community Education Office Manager. Unanimous.</p><p>7. Whitney moved, Baidoo seconded a motion to approve the following gifts/donations: Donation of $122.15 from Target to Hartley Elementary School for Target “Take Charge of Education”; Donation of 4 Hard Cover Books valued at $60.00 from Roxie Meyer to Hartley Elementary School; Donation of plexiglass valued at $108.00 by Randy Prange to be used for No Bullying signage for the Central Intermediate School; Donation of Grade 5 Back to School Supplies, (including purchase of a schoolbag) valued at $38.00 from Robin Hattey to Central Intermediate School; Donation of 16 Partition Walls valued at $800.00 from Brown Printing Company for Adult Basic Education Program, childcare space. Total gifts/donations: $1,128.15. Unanimous.</p><p>8. Hoehn moved, Conrath seconded a motion to approve the child care leave request of Mary Jo Olson, Community Education Clerical. Unanimous.</p><p>9. Conrath moved, Baidoo seconded a motion to approve the following contract approvals: 1. Certified Staff: Shannon Glynn, ECFE Teacher; Daryl Kehler, 6th Assignment (Trimesters 1, 2 and 3); 2. Noncertified Staff: Sue Kulseth, ECFE/ABE Clerical (Revised); Leslie Madsen, Testing Coordinator. Unanimous.</p><p>10. Hoehn moved, Gehloff seconded a motion to approve giving a $500 reward to the Police Reward Fund for the tip received regarding past vandalism to the district. Unanimous. 11. Baidoo moved, Gehloff seconded a motion to grant the early graduation request of Courtney Tate. Unanimous.</p><p>12.
