<p> [Date]</p><p>We are excited to announce our complex’s recycling program, which starts on [Enter date].</p><p>The program can help us keep our recyclables out of the landfill. It also complies with The City’s Waste & Recycling Bylaw that requires on-site recycling at all multi-family complexes.</p><p>What’s included in our recycling program:</p><p>Put the following recyclables into the blue bins loose. Do NOT use garbage bags or blue recycling bags. **See exception items below.</p><p> Paper: Newspaper, catalogues and magazines, mixed paper (flyers, envelopes and office paper), telephone books and coffee cups  Boxboard and corrugated cardboard  Glass jars and bottles  Food cans and foil  Refundable beverage containers  Plastic containers with the recycling symbols 1-7, except polystyrene foam  Juice boxes and soup boxes (such as TetraPaks™)  **Plastic bags and clear plastic film – must be bundled into a single bag and tied closed.  **Shredded paper – must be put in a bag and tied closed</p><p>Download a copy of The City of Calgary’s Recycling brochure here.</p><p>Where to find our recycling area</p><p>The recycling area will be located in [Enter the location(s) where the containers are stored]</p><p>Make sure all material goes inside the recycling bins. Do not leave material outside of the bins. How to prepare your recycling</p><p>Make sure the all recyclable material is prepared properly: </p><p>- Rinse off any food residue from your jars and cans. Put leftover food scraps into your green bin program.</p><p>- Flatten your cardboard boxes to save space.</p><p>- Put your recycling into the blue bins loose. Do NOT use garbage bags or blue recycling bags.</p><p>Who collects our recycling</p><p>The City of Calgary will collect our material regularly and will take it to be recycled.</p><p>How to get rid of other common items</p><p>Page 1 of 2 Items such as furniture, electronics, motor oil or household chemicals are not accepted in our garbage, recycling or food and yard waste. [Add additional information about how you want your residents to handle these materials)</p><p>Why is it important to recycle?</p><p>Calgary businesses and organizations produce one third of all the waste going to City landfills.
