Mike Shirtcliff, DMD Advantage Dental President For Immediate Release 541-504-3911 October 21, 2010 </p><p>Advantage announces retirement of sales consultant and former Chief Executive Officer, Barry Rice</p><p>REDMOND, Ore. – Advantage Dental announces the retirement of its former CEO and current provider relations consultant, Barry Rice. </p><p>Barry Rice has worked in the dental insurance industry in Oregon for more than 30 years, beginning his career with the Oregon Dental Association in 1976. He served as the Executive Director of the ODA from 1979-1999 and then went onto become the Director of Dental Professional Relations of ODS Companies serving in that capacity until 2004.</p><p>He joined Advantage Dental, a dental insurance and dental services company, in 2004 as its Chief Executive and Chief Operating Officer. Barry left the role in 2007, but returned as a sales consultant to recruit dental providers to the Advantage network under his new company, Barry Rice and Associates in 2008. His last day will be November 30.</p><p>“Barry has been a staple in the dental community in Oregon. He has a passion for creating access to dental care for the underserved and will be missed by everyone in the field who has worked with him, “ said R.
