<p>August 13, 2014</p><p>Hello Parents:</p><p>I am happy to have your son or daughter this year in my Geometry class. I am writing to share some information and hopefully establish some form of communication with you.</p><p>I consider communication with parents an important part of my job. I like to send out group notices for upcoming tests and remind you when you should be looking for a progress report or report card. I can do this via email or text or both. If you are interested in receiving such information, please fill out the bottom of this form and return it to me. As an incentive, I will give each student an extra 100 daily grade for returning this information by Wednesday, August 20. Also, I invite you to use email to ask me questions or discuss any concerns you have. I try to check email several times each day, so you may expect a reasonably quick reply. </p><p>I believe many of you are already using the iNow Home Portal, but if not I urge you to do so this year. I try to enter grades on a daily basis, and iNow allows you to see grades as soon as I enter them. You can also monitor your child’s absences. To get access, present a photo ID to the high school office during school hours and ask for an iNow login and password. Then use your login information at https://inow.lcschools.org/InformationNOW/ Please note that the photo ID is not optional, even if you know everyone in our office. I had to show my photo ID in order to get access to my daughters’ grades in iNow.</p><p>Thank you!
