In class, we have discussed various grammatical and stylistic rules and conventions for writing in the English language, but it is important that you can apply this knowledge as you write. Therefore, if a rule or convention has been covered in class and it appears as an error in your work, you will be held accountable and be expected to make corrections using the following steps:

A. Copy the sentence with the error.

B. Identify the rule or convention that was violated.

C. Cite the rule or convention from the grammar sentences (if applicable).

D. Re-copy the sentence with the correction three times.

For Example:

A. mrs. Fisher is my favorite english teacher.

B-C. Correct capitalization of family title (Week 7, Day 4);

Correct capitalization of proper adjective (Week 3, Day 2).

D. Mrs. Fisher is my favorite English teacher.

Mrs. Fisher is my favorite English teacher.

Mrs. Fisher is my favorite English teacher.

NOTE: There is more than one grammatical error in the above statement.
