<p>Supervisor’s Minute Book, No. 18, Hamilton County, Iowa 729 PROCEEDINGS OF THE HAMILTON COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS REGULAR MEETING</p><p>The Hamilton County Board of Supervisors met in regular session on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at 9:00 A.M. in the Boardroom of the Hamilton County Courthouse, Webster City, Iowa.</p><p>CALL TO ORDER: Called to order by Chair Wes Sweedler.</p><p>PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: The Board led the Pledge of Allegiance.</p><p>MEMBERS PRESENT: Doug Bailey, David Young, and Wesley Sweedler. </p><p>OTHERS PRESENT: Dan Waid, Dan Campidilli, Kirby Winters, Pat Powers, Patti Treibel, and Kim Schaa.</p><p>AGENDA: Motion by Young, seconded by Bailey to approve the agenda. Motion carried.</p><p>MINUTES: Motion by Young, seconded by Bailey to approve the minutes of the June 24, 2014 meeting. Motion carried.</p><p>CLAIMS: General Basic Fund $148,101.90; General Basic (Public Health) Fund $43,703.92; General Basic (Conservation) Fund $44,655.92; General Supplemental Fund $39,641.91; General Supplemental Public Health Sub Fund $14,150.20; General Supplemental Conservation Sub Fund $8,846.63; MH-DD Services Fund $17,430.77; Rural Basic Fund $24,143.07; Hotel/Motel Tax Fund $1,189.55; Secondary Roads Fund $266,425.40; REAP Fund $1,718.19; Van Diest TIF Project Fund $166,267.43; Friends of Conservation Expense Trust Fund $3,193.96; Conservation Legacy Fund $2,796.00. Total $782,264.85. Drainage Fund $68,870.88. Motion by Bailey, seconded by Young to approve payment of claims. Motion carried.</p><p>RECOGNITION: The Board recognized and congratulated Dan Campidilli for receiving his Roads Scholar II continuing education award. </p><p>REPORTS: QUARTERLY REPORTS: Motion by Bailey, seconded by Young to approve Quarterly Reports from the Auditor and the Sheriff. Motion carried.</p><p>CLERK OF COURT: Motion by Young, seconded by Bailey to approve the June 2014 Report from the Clerk of Court. Motion carried.</p><p>PERSONNEL: SOCIAL SERVICES: Motion by Bailey, seconded by Young to approve the following personnel actions in the Social Services department: Retirement of Sue Burtnett effective June 30, 2014. Change of Status for Laura Ogg from $9.98 per hour to $12.00 per hour. Change of Status for Stephanie Pelz from $16.07 per hour to $18.00 per hour. Change of Status for Carrie Hisler from $52,558.99 to $56,058.99. Hiring of Mari Larson effective 6/17/14 at $12.00 per hour. Hiring of Logan Mack effective 6/16/14 at $10.00 per hour. Hiring of Marene Hubbard effective 6/16/14 at $10.00 per hour. Hiring of Dana Graham effective 6/16/14 at $10.00 per hour. Hiring of Michael Odegaard effective 7/1/14 at $10.00 per hour. Motion carried.</p><p>Motion by Young, seconded by Bailey to approve the revised Employment Contract and job description for Patricia Treibel as Social Services Executive Director effective July 1, 2014 at a salary of $70,156. Motion carried,</p><p>CONTRACTS/ AGREEMENTS: SOLUTIONS, INC. – EVAULT CLOUD BACKUP: Motion by Bailey, seconded by Young to approve a contract with Solutions, Inc. - EVault Cloud Backup for off-site storage of data and virtualized disaster recovery at a cost of $1,200 per year. Motion carried.</p><p>HAZARD MITIGATION PLAN AMENDMENTS: Motion by Young, seconded by Bailey to approve amendments #2 and #3 on the Planning Grant Agreement between Iowa Homeland Security and Emergency Management Division and Hamilton County. Motion carried.</p><p>FEDERAL AID AGREEMENT R33 RESURFACING: Motion by Bailey, seconded by Young to approve a Federal Aid agreement between Hamilton County and the Iowa Department of Transportation for the R33 Resurfacing project. Motion carried.</p><p>APPLICATIONS: HOMESTEAD TAX CREDIT, MILITARY EXEMPTIONS, AND DISABLED VETERAN’S HOMESTEAD TAX CREDIT APPLICATIONS: Motion by Bailey, seconded by Young to approve all properly signed applications for Homestead Tax Credit, Military Exemption, and Disabled Veteran’s Homestead Tax Credit for 2014 with the following exceptions: Homestead Tax Credit: Nathan & Mary Parkhill – not living in property Military Exemption: Rachel Uttecht – Discharge not recorded in Hamilton County Walter J. Knutson – Discharge not recorded in Hamilton County Larry O’Connor – Discharge not recorded in Hamilton County Disabled Veteran’s Homestead Tax Credit: Robert Everhard – Service Connected Disability is not rated at 100% by VA</p><p> and conditionally approving the Disabled Veteran’s Homestead Tax Credit for Charlene Worrick pending supporting documentation. Motion carried.</p><p>SET DATE & TIME: Motion by Young, seconded by Bailey to set July 29, 2014 at 5:30 p.m. as the date and time for a Special Board Meeting on the Boone River Bridge Route Selection. Motion carried.</p><p>DRAINAGE: DD #59 BREITENKAMP-GANNON: Motion by Young, seconded by Bailey to approve Pay Estimate #5 and Change order #2. Motion carried.</p><p>DD #94 VAN LANDSCHOOT: Motion by Bailey, seconded by Young to accept a petition from R. Stark and appoint MHF Engineering to prepare an engineer’s report. Motion carried.</p><p>ADJOURN: Motion by Young, seconded by Bailey to adjourn.
