<p> Math Sept. 15-19</p><p>10:30-11:10, then lunch and bathroom is from 11:10-11:40, then continue math until 12:30 Lexia Reading is on THURSDAY (11:40-12:40) in computer lab across from our room. Login cards for that time are close to the 3 student computers (colored library cards) and earbuds/headphones are in middle small shelf on first curtained cabinet beside my desk.</p><p>Monday Math---Lesson 2-11: Problem Solving: Act It Out Common Core Standards: 1.OA.1, 1.OA.6 Students will use counters to act out and solve subtraction story problems. 1. Daily Common Core Review worksheet 2-11 in workbook: work through under document camera 2. Math envision CD: video for lesson 2-11: Problem Solving: Act It Out 3. Lesson 2-11 packet: Problem Solving: Act It Out 4. Math workbook: Practice and Reteaching lesson 2-11 workbook pages 5. Quick Check and Enrichment 2-11 worksheets—work together under the document camera</p><p>Tuesday Math---Topic 2: Understanding Subtraction Reteaching packet pages 85-86 and Big Book black envision math on easel up front—first 2 stories Common Core Standards: 1.OA.1, 1.OA.4, 1.OA.6 Students will use subtraction to find the missing part of 9 when one part is known, write and solve subtraction sentences, compare and find how two groups are different, and write related addition and subtraction facts. Students will complete and discuss, check and correct reteaching packet pages. Class will also read and work through the first 2 stories in the black math big book on easel up front in classroom.</p><p>Wednesday Math—Topic 2: Understanding Subtraction Study Guide pgs. 87-88 Common Core Standards: 1.OA.1, 1.OA.4, 1.OA.6, 1.OA.7 Students will find missing parts of 6, 7, 8, and 9; write a subtraction number sentence, write subtraction sentences about stories abut taking away; act out stories about comparing; find the missing parts when one part and the whole are given; solve different kinds of subtraction stories; write related addition and subtraction facts; identify subtraction sentences that are true for the same model; and act out stories about taking away. Students will complete and discuss, check and correct study guide packet pages and take home to study for a test tomorrow.</p><p>Thursday Math---10:30-11:10 MathTopic 2: Understanding Subtraction Assessment, Lexia Reading in lab across from our classroom is from 11:40- 12:40, login cards are in basket close to student computers in our classroom (bright colored library cards), then complete assessment afterward will run into Harcourt Reading time but needs to be completed today Class will read the assessment questions together and students will answer multiple choice and constructed response assessment questions. Teacher will take up the tests for a summative Topic 2 grade.</p><p>Friday Math---Topic 3: Five and Ten Relationships Lesson 1: Representing Numbers on a Ten Frame Common Core Standard: 1.OA.5 Students will use counters and a ten-frame to model numbers up to 10. 1. Daily Common Core Review worksheet 3-1: work through under document camera 2. Math envision CD: video for lesson 3-1: Representing Numbers on a Ten-Frame 3. Lesson 3-1 packet: Representing Numbers on a Ten-Frame 4. Math workbook: Practice and Reteaching lesson 3-1 workbook pages 5.
