<p>Grade 2 Marzano’s Higher Level Thinking Questions Imagine It!</p><p>HUNGRY LITTLE HARE Unit 4 Lesson 2</p><p>Knowing:  What does the spider mean when she says she’s invisible wherever she goes?  According to page 71, what does invisible mean?</p><p>Organizing:  The same thing keeps happening in the story. What is this called? (repetition)  What is the main idea of this selection?  What is the Author’s Purpose of this selection?</p><p>Applying:  The other animals were using camouflage to hide from predators. Who might the hare be using camouflage against?  Why might little hare want to be invisible?</p><p>Analyzing:  Looking on page 59, a katydid is closely related to what insect?  How is the crab spider different from the other animals little hare found?</p><p>Integrating:  Little hare’s long furry hind paws help her hop very fast and jump very high. What might human’s legs be designed to help us do?  Little hare doesn’t eat other animals or insects, he only eats plants. What does this make him? (A herbivore). -If he did eat them, what would he be? (A carnivore)</p><p>Generating:  What would the animal world be like if no animal could camouflage?  If animals can use camouflage to hide against predators, how do predators ever eat?</p><p>Evaluating:  Explain how mother hare was right on page 72-73.  Explain whether or not it’s fair for animals and insects to be able to use camouflage. Think from the point of view of the predator and the point of view of the hunted.  Is the Author’s Purpose to inform or to entertain?
