A permit must be secured before any work is started.</p><p>2. Plans for the work will be required.</p><p>3. I, the owner, will perform the actual work myself.</p><p>4. No work shall be covered before inspection is made and approval received.</p><p>5. No licensed contractor nor person allegedly possessing such required skills shall work directly under the supervision of the owner.</p><p>It is further understood and agreed that the work is the sole responsibility of myself and if, upon inspection, the Building Official finds that I am not qualified to do the work, he may require me to engage a properly licensed contractor at once to correct and finish the work.</p><p>“Section 23a of the State Construction Codes Act of 1972, Act No. 230 of Public Acts of 1972 being Section 125.1523a of the Michigan Complied Laws, prohibits a person from conspiring to circumvent the licensing requirements of this state relating to persons who perform work on residential building or a residential structure.
