<p> Commencement Week Information</p><p>Saturday, May 12 Noon – 7 pm Community Service Project –Followed by dinner at the Olive Meet at Park Hall Garden or Spaghetti Warehouse Restaurant. Parking Lot Sign up at the Leadership Office</p><p>Sunday, May 13 8:30 am – 7 pm Finger Lakes Tour – Wineries include Logan Ridge Winery, Red Meet at Park Hall Newt Cellars, Chateau Lafayette Reneau and Lakewood Vineyards. Parking Lot Event includes tour and tasting.</p><p>Monday, May 14 – Cap and Gown Pickup Friday, May 18 Students are required to bring clear card from Business Office in Bookstore order to pick up cap and gown.</p><p>Monday May 14 – Wednesday, May 16 7 am depart Atlantic City trip – Accommodations at the Atlantic City Tropicana Early evening return Casino & Resort located on the Boardwalk</p><p>Thursday, May 17 10 – 11:30 am Seniors vs. Faculty/Staff Softball Game Athletic Complex 11:30 am – 1 pm BBQ and Live Music Quad BBQ hosted by the Office of Alumni and Parent Relations.</p><p>1:30-3 pm Washburn Junior Teaching Fellow Presentation & Honors McDonald Lecture Hall Colloquia for Social and Behavioral Science and Humanities, Natural Sciences and Education Divisions Each year, the holder of the Washburn Junior Fellowship presents to the College community the findings of his or her year-long research project. This year, Kari Cadrette, Senior Social Sciences major, will speak on her experiences in the college history classroom as a co- teacher. This will be followed by the Honors colloquia for our two divisions—students who will be receiving awards at this colloquia will be notified by campus mail.</p><p>3 – 4 pm Faculty Roundtable Discussion Library (First Floor Faculty are invited to meet Commencement speaker and Honorary Lobby) Degree Recipient Tekla Dennison Miller ’64, and take part in an open, intellectual dialogue moderated by Professor Stewart Weisman, Director of the Criminal Justice Program.</p><p>Page 1 1/18/2018 5:15–7:15 pm Cazenovia College Academic Awards Dinner Dining Hall All graduates and their families are invited. Reservations are required. Call Academic Affairs Office at 315.655.7368.</p><p>Friday, May 18 7-10 am Breakfast – Omelet Makers Dining Hall Staff and Faculty Chefs – Omelets made to order. Table delivery. Eat! Enjoy! Relax!</p><p>11 am– Noon College-wide Picnic Quad All members of the College community (students, faculty, staff, and families of graduates) are invited. This is a time for the entire College to join the celebration of our students’ success!</p><p>12:30 - 2:30 pm Commencement Rehearsal Lower Gym All graduates who expect to attend Saturday’s Commencement (line up) ceremony need to be at rehearsal. If, for legitimate reasons, any student cannot be present, he/she must call Jane Incitti at 315.655.7198 no later than 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 19. N.B. Inclement weather may require Commencement to be held indoors where there is limited seating. Therefore, tickets are required for the seats (8 tickets per graduate, available at rehearsal).</p><p>5 - 6 pm Inter-Faith Prayer Service Village Baptist Church The Inter-Faith Office invites you to join in celebrating with prayer. This inter-faith event borrows from the Jewish, Christian, Muslim, Buddhist and Native American spirituality/faith/beliefs.</p><p>6 - 8 pm Reception for Graduates and families 60 Sullivan St. All graduates and their families are invited to Dr. and Mrs. Tierno’s President’ House home for a reception on the lawn. Please call the Office of Alumni and Parent Relations at 315.655.7332 for reservations.</p><p>Saturday, May 19 8 am Complimentary Family Breakfast Dining Hall All graduates and their families are cordially invited to a continental breakfast prior to Commencement.</p><p>9 am Alpha Chi Group Graduation Photo Hubbard II Alpha Chi students and their families are invited to have a group photo taken prior to Commencement. Students are to come to Hubbard in cap, gown, and medallion—we will be leaving following this photo and proceeding directly to the upper gym for lineup. 9:30 am Line-Up for Commencement Lower Gym All College community (graduates, faculty, college staff, board of trustees) who will be in the Commencement procession must be at the lower gym with cap and gown by 9:30 a.m.</p><p>Page 2 1/18/2018 10:30 am Commencement Quad All graduates will be called to the stage to have their degree confirmed by the President of Cazenovia College. An honorary degree will be awarded to Tekla Dennison Miller, Cazenovia College class of 1964. Dennison Miller – an author, former prison warden, corrections consultant, teacher, volunteer, social activist and national speaker on women’s issues, juvenile and criminal justice reform – will also give the Commencement address. A professional photographer will be on hand to take graduates’ photos as they receive their diploma. There will be a link off the Cazenovia College Commencement 2007 Web page (www.cazenovia.edu/commencement) to the studio (www.gissinphoto.com) where photos can be viewed and purchased. N.B. Inclement weather may require Commencement to be held indoors (upper gymnasium) where there is limited seating. Therefore, tickets are required for the seats (8 tickets per graduate, available at rehearsal). </p><p>Noon Reception after Commencement Quad An all-college reception for graduates, families, faculty, staff, and the community will be held following the ceremony. N.B. If Commencement is held indoors due to inclement weather, the reception will take place in the lower gymnasium.</p><p>Page 3 1/18/2018 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION</p><p>Who is Eligible to All students who have successfully completed all degree attend requirements for graduation - associate or baccalaureate - are invited Commencement to Commencement on Saturday and all Commencement week activities. Those who have concerns may call 315.655.7198 for answers.</p><p>Caps and Gowns  Caps and gowns must be picked up Monday, May 14, through Thursday, May 17 between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., or Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.  Bookstore will open at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 19, for last minute pick-up of caps and gowns.  Bookstore will be open Saturday, May 19 until 4:00 p.m. and Sunday, May 20th from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. for cap and gown returns.  All rental caps and gowns (students, faculty, staff) must be returned to the Bookstore by Monday, May 21.</p><p>Special Students or families who need special accommodations at Accommodations Commencement should contact Cyndi Pratt, Director of Special Services, at 315.655.7308 before Tuesday, May 15. A reserved area accessible seating will be made available.
