Long known for their support of community-based organizations, J Sisters will open their doors on this particular Monday and donate all funds earned that day, including staff tips. All services regularly available at the salon during normal working hours will be offered including hair, manicure, pedicure, spa and waxing services.</p><p>“We are deeply touched at the dedication of the J Sisters to our cause of serving caregivers and those newly- diagnosed with memory disorders,” says national Leeza’s Place founder Leeza Gibbons. “To have the support of such a well-respected salon means that more visitors to Leeza’s Place will have access to life-changing services for themselves and the loved ones for whom they care. With Beauty & Soul 2006, the J Sisters have found a way to use glamour for good!”</p><p>Leeza’s Place at Park Slope Geriatric Day Center is a partnership between the national Leeza Gibbons Memory Foundation and the local Park Slope Geriatric Day Center that serves the needs of aging seniors dealing with Alzheimer’s disease and other memory disorders by offering a variety of services.</p><p>“My sisters and I know the difficulties of caring for an aging loved one who is dealing with losing their memories,” say Jonice Padilha. “We felt that we needed to support the work of this organization and we know that this cause is close to the hearts of many of our clients as well.”</p><p>Set to take place on the Monday before Mother’s Day, appointments for Beauty & Soul 2006 can be made by calling the salon at (212) 750-2485. All regularly offered services are available on that day from 9 am to 6 pm. The day will also include a festive atmosphere thanks to other like-minded corporate supporters. All visitors will be treated to gift bags with products donated by Bobbi Brown, Sheer Cover and Bond #9 perfumes.
