Active Living:</p><p>A. Complete 80-100 hours of exercise (a variety of strength, flexibility, and endurance) in your selected physical activities; keep an activity log (date, activity, time spent, etc.) B. Be able to demonstrate safety procedures and fundamental motor skills that allow you to participate comfortably and confidently in these activities. C. Be sure to use warm up and cool down activities to lessen the risk of injury. D. Include some specific exercises that incorporate the principles of frequency, intensity, and time/duration. i.e. running, weight training, aerobics /80 pts</p><p>2. Personal Goal Setting:</p><p>A. Explain how the following factors might affect physical activity choices throughout life: i. community resources ii. physical needs iii. career choices iv. climate v. cost vi. age</p><p>C. Nutrition – Study Canada’s Guide to Healthy Eating. http://www.hc-sc.gc.ca/fn- an/food-guide-aliment/index_e.html Make a chart and keep track of your eating habits for 7 days. List everything you eat. Did you eat a balanced, healthy diet? What improvements will you make? If you are physically active, how might your eating needs change? Explain and set some goals to improve your habits, if necessary. /10 pts 5. Outdoor Living Skills</p><p>1. Plan and participate in an outdoor education experience at an outdoors school, in a wilderness setting (camping), or in the community. a. What activities did you participate in? b.
