What renewable energy sources are now being used? 4. How much energy is being saved by using high-efficiency motors and appliances compare the product. 5. What systems could be used for heating and cooling of buildings? 6. What new materials or construction methods are being used to increase the R value in our homes today? 7. What measures could be used to reduce the waste of products? (By the builder or manufacturer) 8. With the depletion of natural resource, what resources are being used in their place? 9. What steps are being taken to reduce human or household waste? (Sewage or recycling) </p><p>Your research should answer the following questions;  What environmental issues could have led to the change of the design of product and/or processes it was designed using? (e.g., gasoline consumption, pollution, greenhouse gases, habitat loss, extinction of species);  Describe ways to reduce the waste produced by the manufacture and use of products (e.g.cutting patterns that minimize leftover materials, use of materials that are easily recycled, energy management controls in electronic equipment)  How have societal needs influenced these changes.  Describe how technological design has improved the quality of living (e.g., fireproofing, air purifiers,catalytic converters) . Explain the ways in which history, trends, culture, and geography have inspired technological design.</p><p>Present your findings using PowerPoint.
