<p> Overview of Services and Functions in LBHF</p><p>Front Door Team – Service Manager Redouan Maarouf Front Door Team: This is the initial point of contact for referrals. Referrals will be either signposted to other agencies/services, or progressed to Assessment, Child Protection Investigation and at times Accommodation of a child. </p><p>CAS – Service Manager Redouan Maarouf Contact & Assessment: Undertake family assessments, short term interventions, carry out child protection investigations and at times take immediate action to safeguard the welfare of the child. </p><p>Localities – Service Manager Julie Pappacoda This is preventative/early intervention multidisciplinary service which provides family support to tier 2-3. They support families on the edge of CP and care. They work with families with children 0-18 with a wide range of issues and difficulties. They have their own point of access</p><p>FSCP – Service Manager Bev Sharpe Family Support and Child Protection: Tier 3 &4 cases. Cases are transferred to FSCP when it becomes clear that intervention is required on longer term basis and where there are identified safeguarding concerns. FSCP cases are predominantly child protection, care proceedings/looked after. Access is via CAS</p><p>DCT – Service Manager Richard Holden Disabled Children’s Team: For children with permanent and substantial disabilities. Access is via CAS who completes an assessment before transferring to DCT. DCT will provide a range of services and supports. They manage safeguarding issues (relating to the disabled child) within their service. Some cases are allocated to a SW and others may be held within the team for resource review purposes only.</p><p>LAC – Service Manager Sara Scholey Looked After Children and Care Leavers service: This service provides social work support for children who are looked and those who have left care. Access is via CAS or FSCP although care leavers may contact the service directly for support. Permanency planning for looked after children is the main drive. LAC cases are often within the court arena </p><p>SRQA – Manager Anna Carpenter Safeguarding Review and Quality Assurance: This service coordinates and provides independent chairs for child protection case conferences and Independent Reviewing Officers to chair review meetings and monitor plans for looked after children. The service provides an independent check on the appropriateness of the child protection plans, looked after children’s care plans and the quality of service provision. It is also responsible for providing an overview of child protection activity to inform strategy and operational planning in relation to child protection through regular audits. The SRQA Service has begun the process of becoming an integrated tri-borough service. LADO arrangements: Allegations against staff or those in a position of trust are dealt with by the LADO and Safeguarding Advisors. Currently the designated LADO is Anna Carpenter. Referrals are dealt with by the Anna or the Safeguarding Advisors. </p>
