<p>Section 1 Cash</p><p>MISSING DEPOSIT NOTIFICATION POLICY </p><p>Based on the practice that the opening manager is responsible for making sure the previous day’s sales are deposited at the bank daily, the following procedures should be implemented immediately for missing deposits.</p><p>What is a missing deposit? A deposit that is not presented to the bank. A deposit that is believed to have been presented to the bank but can not be verified with a bank credit or deposit ticket.</p><p>If the loss is discovered at the Unit It should be communicated to the General Manager who in turn is responsible for communicating the loss, within an hour of discovery, to the: Area Director Cash Management Assistant</p><p>If the General Manager is unavailable, the Manager on Duty will be responsible for communicating the loss to the Area Director and Cash Management Assistant.</p><p>Upon notification from the General Manager the Cash Management Assistant will communicate the loss to the:</p><p> Market President Accounting Assistant Cash Manager Controller Market Accountant Accounting Operations Supervisor</p><p>If the loss is discovered at Apple American Group It should be communicated to the Cash Management Assistant who in turn is responsible for communicating the loss to the:</p><p> Market President Market Accountant Area Director Accounting Assistant General Manager Controller Cash Manager Accounting Operations Supervisor</p><p>AAG – Accounting Manual DN-1 Revised 2/06</p>
