<p>December 9, 2009</p><p>PubWEST Workstation Hardware/Software Requirements</p><p>PubWEST workstation minimum PC hardware requirements:</p><p> Pentium II processor</p><p> 256 MB RAM</p><p> 100 MB of free disk space</p><p>PubWEST workstation OS and software requirements:</p><p> Operating Systems - Windows XP</p><p> Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 SP1</p><p> TMS/Sequoia Prizm version 6.0 plug in Tagged Image File Format (TIFF) viewer (provided by USPTO)</p><p>PubWEST Workstation IE Proxy Configuration</p><p>1. Launch Internet Explorer and from the menu, select Tools > Internet Options.</p><p>2. In the Internet Options dialog box, select the Connection tab > LAN Settings…</p><p>3. The Local Area Network (LAN) Settings dialog box will appear. Check the Automatic Configuration Script box and enter the www.uspto.gov/ptdl/ptdlproxy.pac as the address shown in the diagram below, then select OK twice to close out the Internet Options box. Accessing PubWEST</p><p>Enter the following PubWEST URL in IE - http://pubwest:7788/webaka/gwP.html</p><p>The WEST logon screen will be displayed as shown below. Log in using the WEST account provided by the USPTO. You can now begin WEST search. </p>
