<p>Suffield Little League Board of Directors Meeting Tuesday January 10, 2008</p><p>Attendees: The following board members were present: Holly LaBarre, Jim Dion, Steve Pallotti, Tim Hastings, Mike Voisine, Bill Schnepp, Roxann Mankouski, Paul Eheander, Bill King, Amy Moriarty & Cari Rocco. </p><p>Minutes: Minutes were reviewed individually prior to beginning of meeting.</p><p>Finance: Mike, Holly and John Dilorenzo established a new checking account by moving all but $1,000 to a new account w/quickbooks. Balance in new account $26,545.02. There is also a separate account with scholarship funds of approximately $5,000. Mike will be sending out balance amounts shortly. </p><p>Important Dates on the Horizon: Baseball/Softball Registration Thursday January 10th – 6:30-9:00 pm, Saturday January 12th 9:00-Noon. Location – Suffield Middle School.</p><p>Baseball Evaluations – Saturday March 1st 1:30-5:00 and Saturday March 8th 1:30- 5:00. Location – Suffield High School.</p><p>Softball Evaluations – Saturday March 15th 9:00-Noon. Location – Suffield High School?</p><p>Junior Evaluations – to be determined – we would like to have coaches see new players to the league prior to draft.</p><p>Open Gym for teams (Baseball & Softball), to workout – Saturday March 29th 8:30-3:30 (team times to be determined) Saturday April 5th 8:30-3:30 (TTTBD) Location – Suffield High School</p><p>Opening Day – April 26th & April 27th (Rain dates 5/3 & 5/4)</p><p>Joey Parise Tournament – Saturday May 10th (Rain date Sunday May 18th)</p><p>Closing Cerimonies – Monday June 16th</p><p>Coaching Clinics – mentioned, no date established.</p><p>Joey Parise/Home Run Derby: Bill King requested that if anyone had ideas regarding the scheduling of games and the Home Run Derby to make it a more efficient process to please submit these ideas. There was discussion to keep age groups together for HR Derby. Getting number of participants will help to schedule timing and subsequently help in scheduling games. More discussion to come. Fund Raising:</p><p>Holly decided not to pursue the raffle fund raiser for this year but would like to revisit before next season so that we can have something in place. Sign sponsorships to continue.</p><p>Online Registration:</p><p>We will not have this for this season. Hopes are that we will get this up and running for next season.</p>
