<p> Resetting a CICS ID & Password on the Mainframe</p><p>Your CICS password will expire every 90 days. You will need to reset your password in both the character based and desktop systems when this occurs. This is a two-step process.</p><p>To reset your CICS ID Password for Advantage:</p><p>Double click on your Mainframe connection icon. This would be the same icon you use to access the HRMS or SIS system. If you do not know which icon to use, contact your systems support personnel before proceeding.</p><p>Begin the LOG-ON process at the:</p><p>Type your CICS User ID in the Userid field. Press the TAB key. Type your current CICS Password in the Password field. Press the ENTER key.</p><p>Advantage ID/Password Setup-VPN 11/1/02 1 Resetting a CICS ID & Password on the Mainframe</p><p>The User Password Maintenance screen will appear.</p><p> Type a new unique password in the New Password field. Note: your password must be something never before used and it must be at 6-8 characters long.  Press the ENTER key.</p><p>Advantage ID/Password Setup-VPN 11/1/02 2 Resetting a CICS ID & Password on the Mainframe</p><p>The User Password Maintenance screen will refresh.
