<p>Job Announcement</p><p>Job Title: Home Visitor Status: Full Time Job Requisition#: 15-008 Dept.: SLAHP Position Open Date: 1/23/15 Compensation: $1,922 -$3,670 Monthly (DOE) </p><p>* If you are unable to apply following our standard procedures and need accommodation, please contact us at (310)222-3616.</p><p>Required Skills & Qualifications: The Home Visitor position requires a minimum of four years experience providing education, guidance and support to high risk, low income families with young children (0 through 2 years old). At least one year of experience in providing home visitation services to high risk, low income families with young children (0 through 2 years old) is preferred, but not required. Strong interpersonal communication skills are required. Good writing skills are required. At least one year of experience in using a computer for data entry and word-processing is required. A high school graduate, GED, or equivalent is required. A Certified Lactation Educator (CLE) is preferred, not required. A Valid California driver’s license, proof of personal auto insurance and personal transportation with current California registration are required. Description of Duties:  Makes home visits on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis  Provides home visitation services, including but not limited to: providing education, guidance and support to families; conducting assessments; linking clients to needed services; and assisting clients and their families with accessing these services  Compiles proper client documentation, collects and enters data using First 5 LA “Stronger Families Database” web-based system and prepares required reports  Assists families in establishing goals and developing plans to accomplish those goals.  Other duties as may be assigned (required)</p><p>“Equal Opportunity Employer – AA/M/F/Disability” Position requires background check and health clearance Please apply on-line @ www.labiomed.org</p>
