How do I change from a smaller unit to larger unit?</p><p>Advanced Preparations: Take pictures and make measurement lab sheets to specify measurement zones.</p><p>Materials: Measurement Zone lab sheets metric tape measures Clipboards trundle wheels Pencils whistle (for management) Step stool playground chalk for marking</p><p>Mini Lesson Procedure: 1. Discuss international units of measurement ( metric system) 2. Show measurement tools- ruler, meter stick, tape measure, and trundle wheel and how to use them. 3. Show students how to change from centimeters to meters comparing it to changing cents to dollars. 4. Show pictures of lab zones and sheets before taking outside to measure. 5. Explain whistle signal for return to pavilion.
