<p>St. Petersburg College – Bachelor of Applied Science in Public Safety Administration with Subplans in Fire Science Technology, or Emergency Management & Homeland Security</p><p>St. Petersburg College, Southeastern Public Safety Institute, offers a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Public Safety Administration with Subplans in Fire Science Technology, or Emergency Management and Homeland Security. The newly revised curriculum will take effect in the summer of 2012. The program provides the necessary knowledge and facilitates the development of skills needed to assume administrative and leadership roles in public safety organizations. This is an online program, with classes that are offered in 8-week session format in the fall and spring semesters, with summer classes available.</p><p>Bachelor of Applied Science in Public Safety Administration:</p><p>Admission requires an A.S. Degree of sixty (60) credits in a public safety discipline with at least fifteen (15) credit hours in transferable general education credits and current certification in the field. Students may be admitted with an A.A. Degree with approval by the Dean. If general education hours for an A.A. Degree have been completed, the student must complete twenty-four (24) credits in a public safety major in place of additional general education required for the A.S. student. </p><p>General Education credits…..15-21  For A.S degree holders, and additional 15-21 general education credits are required to complete the thirty-six (36) credit hour general education requirement for St. Petersburg College. Please note that total program hours may vary.
