<p>Dear (insert Chief/Sheriff name),</p><p>I would like to request permission to travel and attend the 2014 LeadsOnline Leadership Conference May 28-30, in San Antonio, Texas. </p><p>This conference provides a certificate for 16 hours of continuing education and is hailed as the top law enforcement conference in the country. Past agendas have included world-class presentations and speakers such as Lt. Col. Grossman, the BTK Serial Killer Case Study, Statement Analysis by Mark McClish, and the Laci Peterson Case Study. </p><p>The 2014 LeadsOnline Leadership Conference is set to deliver the same high-caliber agenda with topics ranging from homicide case studies, investigating property crimes, undercover sting operations, criminal tactics of sovereign citizen movements, the use of cellular data and technology in investigations and metal theft investigations. </p><p>This conference will cover topics within the realm of criminal investigations, and I’m confident that I will bring back valuable knowledge that I can apply in my daily work. The cost to attend the conference is worth a mere fraction of the knowledge gained at only $139 before January 15, and $179 after. With the variety of topics covered and over 300 law enforcement attendees, the value of the training far outweighs the cost to attend.</p><p>Thank you for taking the time to consider my request and how granting approval will further enhance the work we do to protect and serve this city.
