<p>1. Almost 90% of all people live north of the equator; only 10% live in the Southern hemisphere.</p><p>2. Hunger takes the lives of 13-18 million ppl each year. That’s 35,000 ppl each day; most of which are children. </p><p>3. 10% of these deaths are due to famine. 90% stem from chronic hunger. </p><p>4. Chronic hunger is a condition of poverty and under nutrition. We are talking about 500 million to 1 billion humans living in this condition all over the world. </p><p>5. More that half of all people live on 5% of the land, and almost 90% live on less than 20%. 6. About 2/3 of the world’s population is concentrated within 300 miles of the ocean.</p><p>7. Industrialized countries have slow population growth and their economies are usually based on manufacturing or service industry. </p><p>8. Developing countries have high population growth and their economies are primarily based on agriculture. </p>
