<p>Center for Student Involvement </p><p>Robert and Mary Glennen Scholarship Award 2015-2016</p><p>Robert and Mary Glennen Leader Scholarship 2015-2016</p><p>Robert Glennen served as president of Emporia State University for thirteen years, from 1984-1997. During his tenure as president, Dr. Glennen demonstrated exceptional leadership to the university and Teachers College by challenging others to excel. The Robert and Mary Glennen Leader Scholarship will be awarded to "Outstanding students who exemplify the standards of high character, leadership, and commitment to their fellow students.” Those who receive these scholarships shall be known during the time they are at Emporia State University as “Glennen Leader Scholars”. The scholarship will be awarded to students who meet the following criteria. Criteria for receiving the scholarship: Student has made significant contributions to the enrichment of the campus community through active participation in co-curricular activities, community service, and overall campus and community involvement Student has demonstrated individual initiative, creativity, responsibility, cooperation, citizenship, and leadership through involvement Student exemplifies high standards of character, leadership, and commitment  Student must be an undergraduate attending Emporia State University during the 2016-2017 academic year. Recipients will receive the scholarship money for the 2016-2017 academic year. </p><p>Application Process:</p><p>To apply, please complete the attached application, answered questions, and submit a letter of recommendation from someone familiar with the applicant’s involvement in student activities and organizations. Two students will be chosen, and each recipient will receive a $500 scholarship. </p><p>The application and letter of recommendation are due by 5:00PM Friday, March 4th, 2016 in typed and printed format to: Center for Student Involvement Campus Box 4065 1 Kellogg Circle Emporia, KS 66801</p><p>Applicants will honored at the Center for Student Involvement Awards Reception on April 21st at 7:00 p.m. in the Memorial Union Skyline Dining, where recipients will be announced.
