Principal: Colleen Grindle 940-369-1700

Team 6-2 Discipline

All of Team 6-2 will run on a system that we believe helps students with their organization, personal responsibilities, and appropriate behavior within the classroom. Each nine weeks, the students will be given a sheet with four tickets and have the opportunity to earn additional tickets by filling out their agenda each week. These tickets will be stapled into the student’s agenda, and will be expected to be with them for the entire grading period. Teachers will sign off on these tickets for violations of team policy.

Students may lose tickets for minor infractions in the hallway or classroom. These would include: tardies, lack of class supplies, gum, and any other off- task behavior that the teacher deems inappropriate.

When the student has used their sixth ticket or has no usable tickets, the teacher will notify the parents in the form of a writing detention assigned to the student. A second writing detention or Friday advisory detention will be assigned by the teacher if the student has no available tickets. All writing detentions will be doubled if not signed and returned the next day. On the third day, an office referral will be assigned. If parents would like to view their child’s tickets, they will be stapled into the back of their agenda.

In the event of a lost ticket sheet, a writing detention will be assigned. Students will receive an alternate discipline sheet that allows three infractions to occur before a detention and possible office referral will be assigned.

Students will receive a new set of tickets, and a clean slate, at the beginning of each new nine weeks.
