<p> TEE-BALL Description The T-Ball league is non-competitive. Players generally hit from a Tee with some coach pitch. T-Ball focuses primarily on developing skills and having fun. Players do not get “out”. All the kids run around the bases and score a run.</p><p>Ages Generally 5-6 year olds, kindergarteners and Pre-K (entering kindergarten in September) play T-Ball. There is no skill prerequisite for T-Ball. Players in kindergarten with advanced skills (throwing, catching & hitting) can request to be placed in the farm league. Contact the League Coordinator at the T-Ball and Farm Clinic in April if you would like your child to be placed in the Farm league. </p><p>Eligibility Players from anywhere in Newton can play in the NWLL T-Ball program.</p><p>Schedule T-Ball games (two per week) are scheduled Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evenings as well as a Saturday game (times vary). NWLL will try to accommodate requests for players to be on a team with a friend.</p><p>FARM Description The Farm League is non-competitive. Coaches pitch to the kids.</p><p>Ages Generally 7-9 year olds play Farm. Players who do not feel comfortable playing at this level can request to be placed in the T-BALL league.</p><p>Eligibility Newton West resident (see website for details).</p><p>Schedule Farm games (two per week) are scheduled Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evenings as well as a Saturday game (times vary). Additional practices may be scheduled at the coach’s discretion. NWLL will try to accommodate requests for players to be on a team with a friend.</p><p>AA Description The AA league is competitive player-pitch baseball.</p><p>Ages Generally 9-10 year olds play AA. Players try out in March and are drafted by the head coaches. 9-year-old players with two years experience in the Farm league will automatically be placed at this level. 9 year olds with limited baseball experience may be placed in the Farm league. Players who do not feel comfortable playing at this level can request to be placed in the Farm league. Players may not request to be placed on a team with a friend. 8 year olds with advanced skills may try out for the AA level at the tryouts.</p><p>Eligibility Newton West resident (see website for details).</p><p>Schedule AA games (two, occasionally three, per week) are scheduled Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evenings as well as a Saturday game (times vary). Additional practices will be scheduled at the coach’s discretion.</p><p>AAA Description The AAA league is competitive player-pitch baseball.</p><p>Ages 10 -11- 12 year olds. Players try out in March and are drafted by head coaches. Players may not request to be placed on a team with a friend.</p><p>Eligibility Newton West resident (see website for details).</p><p>Schedule AAA games (two, occasionally three, per week) are scheduled Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evenings as well as a Saturday game (times vary). Additional practices will be scheduled at the coach’s discretion.</p><p>MAJORS</p><p>Description The Majors is competitive player-pitch baseball.</p><p>Ages 11-12 year olds. Players try out in March and are drafted by head coaches. Players who do not get drafted are placed at the AAA level. Players may not request to be placed on a team with a friend.</p><p>Eligibility Newton West resident (see website for details).</p><p>Schedule Majors games (two, occasionally three, per week) are scheduled Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday evenings beginning between 5:30 and 6:00 as well as a Sunday game at either 1:00 or 3:00 pm. Additional practices will be scheduled at the coach’s discretion.</p>
