<p> Tiered Lesson Plan Grade Level: 7 Title of Lesson: Perimeter/Circumference/Area Time Frame: # of days: 5 Teacher’s Name: Grillias, Spagnola, Sousa Dates: 3/30 through 4/3 This lesson is tiered according to: styles & abilities </p><p>NJCCCS(s): Lesson Essential Questions and/or Objectives: SWBAT 3/30 to find perimeter and circumference of CC.7.NS.1, CC.7.NS.1d, CC.7.EE.3, CC.7.EE.2, figures 3/31 to find the area of circles 4/1 to find the area of irregular figures 4/2 to review for chapter 9 CC.7.EE.4, CC.7.EE.1 quiz 4/3 to take chapter 9 quiz (sections 1, 2, 3) Mathematical Practices 1,2,3,4,6,7,8</p><p>Tier 3-Activities- Kinesthetic </p><p>Tier 1 – Activities-visual Tier 2 –Activities Interpersonal-DAILY Students will copy notes from Chapter 9, While working to solve problems students will be 3/30: Upon completion of Lesson 9-1, students will be sections 1, 2 and 3. Students will 4/2 Chapter 9 Review (9-1 – 9-3) also be challenged to solve problems where they are given the area and are asked to find the radius or diameter. 4/3 Chapter 9 Quiz Assessment: teacher questioning and observation Assessment: teacher questioning & observation 4/1: Upon completion of Lesson 9-3, students will be asked to create their own irregular figure. Students will be required to find the area of their groups irregular figure. Once all figures are completed, groups will trade figures with one another and will attempt to solve the problems. </p><p>4/2: Today students will be practicing the skills which will be assessed on tomorrow’s chapter 9 quiz. </p><p>Assessment: teacher questioning and observation Whole class culminating Activities/Conclusion: select problems will be displayed by student groups for peer evaluation Assessment: teacher questioning and observation Anchor activity: Enrichment Sheet/exit ticket Materials list: graph paper, smartboard, worksheets, whiteboards, chapter 9 quiz, review Homework Assignment (by day) 3/30 Worksheet 9-1 3/31 Worksheet 9-2 4/1 Worksheet 9-3 4/2 Worksheet 9-4 4/3 Worksheet 9-5 </p>
