LAST WEEK’S ATTENDANCE: 165 COLLECTION: £ 336.32 ************************************************************* FIRST COMMUNION: We welcome today four of our children who make their First Holy Communion. They are Sadie Bell, Grace Harrison, Szymon Marciniak and Kasper Drzyzga. We congratulate them and their families and pray God’s blessing on them. COMMUNICATIONS SUNDAY: is today when we pray for the work of the Catholic Communications Network and the spread of the gospel. Please take a card with the prayer. There will be a retiring collection for this Network. It seeks to develop the public profile of the Church and its teaching. PARISH ACCOUNTS: These are available in the porch this week. SPECIAL MASS: on Tuesday at 6.30 pm to remember the women of the parish who are deceased and have contributed to the progress of the parish. There will be refreshments in the Hall afterwards. PENTECOST: is next Sunday and we will welcome the Blasergruppe band to play at the 10 am Mass. They played here last year. There is a concert by them in the Lakes School on Monday, May 28th along with two other bands. See poster. CONFIRMATION: Bishop Campbell, O.S.A. will confer the sacrament of confirmation on our children on Tuesday, May 29th at 7 pm. DR. HILARY’S BASKET: continues the sale of organic fruit and vegetables in the Hall each Wednesday (3 – 5 pm). Also after the 10 am Mass today. “ BEHOLD THE LAMB”: John Pridmore and Andrew Fava at St. Cuthbert’s, Wigton. A family conference, the weekend of June 22nd to 24th. See the poster in the porch.</p><p>PRAYER AFTER COMMUNION When everyone has received communion, the priest will return to his chair and pray quietly for a few minutes. The choir may sing a song at this time. The priest then stands and prays the Prayer after Communion. During this prayer we pray that we can take what we have received during Mass with us as we return to our daily lives. We also pray that we can use this to make a difference in our world.</p>
