<p> 4505 18th Street East, Bradenton, FL 34203 Telephone (941) 746-3221 Fax (941) 746-3466 e-mail: [email protected] Operations and Maintenance Manual</p><p>Fused and Non-Fused Combination Starters</p><p>Warranty: 1 year from date of installation, 18 months from date of invoice</p><p>NOTE: Any service work performed on any control panel must be done by a qualified industrial electrician.</p><p>Operation:</p><p>Hand-Off-Auto (H-O-A) Selector Switch:</p><p>Hand Position – Panel is energized and motor runs Off Position – Removes control power from the control circuit and motor will not run Auto Position – An external signal (contact closure) is required which energizes the panel and the motor runs.</p><p>On Pilot Light (if equipped)– When the starter is engaged the “ON” pilot light is illuminated.</p><p>Disconnect Switch “Off” Position – Power is removed from the panel except for the input side of the disconnect</p><p>Disconnect Switch “On” Position – Power flows through the Disconnect Switch to the starter and the motor will run after the H-O-A selector is in the “hand” or “auto” position. In the “auto” position an external signal (contact closure) must be sent to the switch.</p><p>Motor Overload – The overload has a dial setting. This must be set to the Full Load Amps (FLA) of the motor name plate to correctly protect the motor. If a overload condition exist, the device will trip, shutting down power to the motor.</p><p>Overload Reset – In the event of the motor tripping the overload, it will need to be reset. After taking necessary corrective action to eliminate what caused the motor overload condition, reset the overload with the external “RESET” pushbutton.</p><p>D:\Docs\2018-04-03\012c4b0a518723ffa3e2e4b8f806f4bc.doc November 2007 Maintenance:</p><p>“ On” Pilot Light Lamp – If the lamp burns out replace with a BA9s type lamp (incandescent or LED – 120VAC)</p><p>Fuses – Control Transformer (Secondary and/or Primary) or Fused Disconnect</p><p>If fuses are blown: </p><p>1. Examine the electrical circuit to determine the cause of the overload or short circuit condition. 2. Take all necessary corrective action to eliminate the cause of the short circuit or overload condition. 3. Replace all motor power fuses with the same type and amp rating as the fuses furnished by the factory. 4. Restart the panel and check that all problems have been corrected.</p><p>Note: There are no internal replacement parts for the following:</p><p> Disconnect Switch  Contactor  Overload Relay  H-O-A Selector Switch  Control Transformer</p><p>If there is a problem with any of the above replace the entire component.</p><p>D:\Docs\2018-04-03\012c4b0a518723ffa3e2e4b8f806f4bc.doc November 2007</p>
