This series offers a brass/stainless steel construction with single handle temperature control and “fail safe” design.

The intrinsically safe operating principle of this mixing valve means that steam can only flow if water is already flowing and there is pressure upon its main operating diaphragm. It will not pass live steam in the event of either a significant pressure reduction or complete failure of the cold water supply. This operating feature ensures that safety cannot be compromised by either damage to the controlling diaphragm or mineral build up on the stainless steel internal components.

With the Steamix 203 hose station, a single action control handle ensures full water flow for effective Washdown. Its valve can deliver an infinite range of outlet temperatures, or be locked at a predetermined single setting which the user cannot override. With the installation of a locking cap, the outlet temperature can be set and locked to ensure either a safe maximum or a required minimum temperature.

The operating pressures for both steam and water range from a maximum of 15 psi to 150 psi. The Steamix steam/water hose station is designed to improve efficiency and reduce risk. When the process demands high washdown temperature, adjusting the mix of steam and water become much more critical because personnel safety is at issue. When integrated with the Series 4000 detergent injection system, the Steamix hose station will meter detergent and sanitizers directly into the washdown stream.

For additional information on Armstrong’s steam and water hose stations and Steamix mixing valves, contact Armstrong International, Inc., P.O.
