<p>Module 0 – Concept 1</p><p>Concept 1 – What is Globalization and vocabulary</p><p>Directions: Talk to students about Globalization without giving the definition. Explain that we are a global marketplace and global economy and global means “larger”. One of the worksheets asks students to put in their own words the definition of Globalization. At a later date explain to the students the concept behind globalization. </p><p>Discuss the fact that career development is a lifetime process. The average person will hold between 10 – 14 jobs in his/her lifetime – very different from their parents’ generation. We want students to work on deciding a good career now for their future. </p><p>Have students complete the globalization worksheet. There are just a few short questions on it after they read it.</p><p>Have students complete the vocabulary sheet. They are to research answers on the Internet – using any resource they want, dictionary.com, tech dictionary, ask jeeves, google search.</p>
