Flight below 1000 AGL is not required to find the answers. With the exception of in the vicinity of the airports, if you see another aircraft on the hunt, please use the air-to-air frequency of 122.75 to communicate. The hunt should take approximately one hour and twenty minutes. Please plan your fuel accordingly. </p><p>1. Depart the Clinton Airport. Fly in a southwesterly direction to the divided highway and proceed westbound to the point where the highway and railroad intersect. How many sets of RR tracks are there? TWO</p><p>2. There’s a pond south of the highway. What corner of the pond has the swimming beach? SOUTHEAST</p><p>3. Head west on the highway to Dewitt. About a ½ mile east of Dewitt, there’s a farm on the north side of the highway. How many white frame windows are on the west side of the NW Barn? FIVE</p><p>4. Just west of that farm, there’s a plant with a large smokestack. On the top of the tower, there some strobe lights. How many are there? THREE</p><p>5. Fly westward to the cloverleaf on the south side of Dewitt. On the yellow caution sign, what is the first word…(The Big Sign)? TRUCKS</p><p>6. Just west of the cloverleaf in Dewitt, there’s a sand pit. How many vents are on the roof of the scale house? THREE</p><p>7. Proceed south along the highway towards Eldridge. When you come to two sets of bridges, what is the name of the creek one set of the bridges crosses? WAPSIPINICON</p><p>8. How many bridge supports (not including the ends) are under the bridge across the creek? FOUR</p><p>9. Proceed south along the road to a set of towers on the west side of the road. What colors are the eastern tower? RED AND WHITE (ORANGE WORKED, TOO) 10.Fly south towards Eldridge. Take a look at the water tower. How many cell phone antennas are located on top of the water tower? SIX </p><p>11.Describe the position light setup on top of the water tower. A SINGLE WHITE STROBE ON TOP OF A RED LIGHT. 12.At that same corner, there’s a filling station. What is the name of the store? BIG 10 MART </p><p>13.Proceed east along the road from the tower. Follow the road until the new blacktop runs out near an intersection. How many street lamps are located at that intersection? ONE</p><p>14.What type of livestock is located at the house on the northeast corner of that intersection? HORSES</p><p>15.Fly east for about two miles towards the “T” in the road. What unusual type of subdivision is located north of the road, seemingly in the middle of nowhere? MOBILE HOME COMMUNITY CAUTION: THERE’S A TOWER LIKELY TO BE TALLER THAN YOU ABOUT A MILE TO THE SOUTHEAST. BE AWARE OF IT’S PRESENCE.</p><p>16.Make a right for about ¼ mile then a left to follow the road east toward the river. What is the purpose of the two tall towers that cross the river? POWER LINE SUPPORTS 17.Fly east to the first farm along the road. How many grain storage bins are located at that farm? This one was written wrong. Everyone got credit for 17 and 18. The farm was the first on the north side of the road. I didn’t see the one on the south side…it was under the plane. The answers I was looking for were 7 for 17 and a basket ball hoop for 18. 18.What sports device is located on the driveway in front of the barn? BASKETBALL HOOP 19.Fly north to Cordova. There’s a convenience store/filling station with a red roof. What brand of fuel does it sell? PHILLIPS 66</p><p>20.How many fueling islands are in front of the store? FIVE</p><p>21.Follow the railroad and highway north along the east side of the river. East of the road, there’s a small power station with two stacks near a dragstrip. How many cooling turbines do they have? EIGHT</p><p>22.Look at the dragstrip. How many portable outhouses are by the stands? I saw 5, others saw 6. I flew back out and sure enough, there were 6…one between the grandstands. So, I gave credit for either 5 or 6. 23.How many flagpoles are located next to the launch area of the track? THREE 24.Fly north to the town of Albany. What color is the roof of the Albany True Value Antiques store? GREEN</p><p>25.Fly north to first bridge that crosses the river back to the west. How many train tracks cross the river? TWO</p><p>26.On the blue bridge, how many street lamps are between the two main support posts of the bridge? SIX</p><p>27.There is a business on the west side of the river by the blue bridge. What do they do? SCRAP METAL</p><p>28.Continue north on the east side of the river. There’s a rail depot with many parallel sets of railroad tracks. At the point with the most parallel sets, how many sets of tracks are there? 17</p><p>29.Continue north on the east side of the river to the green bridge. What structure looks out of place? WINDMILL</p><p>30.Fly north to the set of locks on the river. On the river side dock of the locks, what are the orange things? WINDSOCKS</p><p>31.Fly west across the dam to the west side of the river. There’s a unique structure near the end of the dam. What is it? CASTLE TOWER</p><p>32.Which side are the steps on, reference item 31. WEST</p><p>33.There’s a school just southwest of item 31. It’s on the northwest side of town. What unique shape is the athletic track? RECTANGULAR (square worked, too) 34.Fly back to the east to the river bank. On the western side of the river, what unique structures are just east of the ball diamonds? LITTLE LIGHTHOUSES 35.How many ball diamonds are there? THREE</p><p>36.What is the name of the Riverboat on the ground by the river? CITY OF CLINTON SHOWBOAT. (Showboat only lost ½ point)</p><p>37.Fly south to the great big dome looking thing. What color is the dome? GOLD. </p><p>38.Follow the highway around to Walmart. What is written on the pavement on the northeast corner of the building? NO TRUCKS</p>
