<p>Profile of Brem Richard Ellingham </p><p>June 2009</p><p>Brem Ellingham is standing for re election to the Board of the Franchise Association of New Zealand. Brem stands as a Franchisor member of the Association.</p><p>Brem has been a productive and effective member of the Board over recent years serving on various sub committees over that time. </p><p>Brem is committed to the on-going promotion of franchising and the Franchise Association within New Zealand, and also brings his many years’ experience, as Managing Director of Fastway Couriers, to the Board. </p><p>He has a sound understanding of taking franchise systems overseas, the challenges of working a franchised system within a regulated environment, and significant experience with the Australian Franchising Code of Conduct. He also has a thorough knowledge of operating in the unregulated New Zealand market, and also helps represent a regional view being based in the Hawkes Bay.</p><p>Brem is currently the Group Managing Director and shareholder of the Fastway Group of companies, including Fastway Global Ltd, Fastway Couriers (New Zealand) and Fastway Couriers (Australia). The global network of Fastway Couriers has over 1600 franchisees and includes operations in England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Germany, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.</p><p>Brem is also the Managing Director and co-founder of the successful Fastway Post and Fastway Print franchised systems.</p><p>Brem is based in the Fastway Global office in Napier and has spent his 51 years in the Hawke’s Bay region. Before joining Fastway he founded and operated a successful engineering business.</p><p>Brem is pleased to be nominated by Graeme Henderson and seconded by Win Robinson.</p>
