<p> Business Development Officer</p><p>Line managed by Head of Business Development</p><p>Salary £24,366 (NJC scp 24)</p><p>Hours Full time. The post will involve regular early evening work to attend training sessions. Time off in lieu will be given in light of this. </p><p>Term Permanent</p><p>Holiday 25 days paid holiday per annum</p><p>Benefits 5% contributory pension scheme and private healthcare cashback plan upon successful completion of a three month probationary period.</p><p>Location of Post National Pro Bono Centre, 48 Chancery Lane, London WC2A 1JF</p><p>Primary purpose of role</p><p>To support the work of the Business Development team and the delivery of LawWorks’ training programme. </p><p>The Business Development team provides income generation and operational services to LawWorks and manages the relationship between the organisation and its stakeholders.</p><p>Key task areas and duties</p><p>LawWorks Training Programme (50%)</p><p>1 To organise and develop internal and external training programmes for LawWorks staff and volunteer solicitors. Training for lawyers will be on various areas of social welfare law, split over two semesters (September to December and March to June). You will identify suitable courses required to support the LawWorks legal advice pro bono projects, book trainers and venues, administer bookings using an electronic registration system and evaluate feedback from delegates. You will record training sessions and make these available as online podcasts. Business Development (50%)</p><p>2 To plan, edit content, produce and distribute a monthly online newsletter for LawWorks members and supporters.</p><p>3 To coordinate the development and delivery of occasional conferences, award programmes and events.</p><p>4 To provide administrative support to the Business Development Team.</p><p>Skills and Experience</p><p>Essential A positive, solution-focused attitude, and a pro-active  approach to engaging with design challenges Self-motivated and able to work independently  Good verbal and written communication skills including the ability to make presentations and write for different  audiences. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office.  Experience of working collaboratively and effectively in a  team to achieve shared objectives Ability to work with people from a variety of backgrounds including solicitors, voluntary sector organisations and  applicants.
