<p> 2014-15 Daily Schedule </p><p>Covenant Transitional Kindergarten</p><p>Covenant Kindergarten is for children who are mature 4 ½ year olds by October. If a child is 5 by September 1 after attending Covenant Transitional Kindergarten, they would be ready for first grade. If a child is a mature 4 ½ by October, they would be prepared for Kindergarten for the next year. The Texas State Standards for Kindergarten will be taught (Language Arts, Math, His- tory, Geography, Economics, Government, Science, Technology skills, Music, Art, Theater, and Physical Education). In addition, the daily curriculum will include Bible stories, Servant Leader- ship to develop character, World Missions, Spanish, Prayer and Worship. Instruction is differenti- ated to develop individual student skills and assist children to develop to their maximum poten- tial. Curriculum concepts are taught both at the teacher table and in small groups. Children re- ceive one-on-one instruction daily at the teacher table in Language Arts, Math, and Integrated curriculum.</p><p>Kindergarten is Monday through Friday at Covenant.</p><p>8:50 to 9:00 – Arrival</p><p>9:00 to 9:30 – Pledges (American Flag, Texas Flag, and Bible), Prayer and Worship song, Calendar, Weath- er, Bible Story with Scripture memory verse, Spanish Basics, and World Missions</p><p>9:30 to 10:30 – Language Arts Lessons: Reading; Handwriting; and Writing fiction and nonfiction stories and poems; Technology skills in Word, PowerPoint, and guided Internet research with iPads and comput- ers</p><p>10:30 to 11:00 – Indoor and Outdoor Playground</p><p>11:00 to 11:30 – Lunch</p><p>11:30 to 12:30 – Math Lessons: Addition; Subtraction; Skip Counting; Measurement; Story Problems; Graphs; Statistics and Probability</p><p>12:30 to 1:00 – Specials with alternating days of Art; Music; Theater; and Physical Education</p><p>1:00 to 2:00 – Integrated Curriculum with alternating days of units in Texas and American History/Gov- ernment; Texas and World Geography; Science concepts and experiments; Technology History; and Li- brary Skills for research in books and the Internet 2:00 – Dismissal</p>
