In addition to teaching a full course load, responsibilities include curriculum development and participation on a number of committees dealing with various issues . Duties as Lead Instructor involve oversight of the Sociology Department at Northwest College. Responsibilities include program review and evaluation of adjunct faculty. Also contributed to the development of a Study Abroad Program in London, England.</p><p>Courses Taught: Introduction To Sociology Sociology of the Marriage and Family Criminology/ Sociology of Deviance Social Problems Globalization and Social Change</p><p>Jan 2007 to Present Lecturer- University of Houston</p><p>Lecturer</p><p>Employed as a Lecturer in the Department of Sociology since Spring 2007.</p><p>Courses Taught: Introduction To Sociology Popular Music and Society</p><p>Jan. 1988 to Sept. 1990 Affiliated Systems Corporation </p><p>Ethnographer Outreach Supervisor Served as an ethnographer and outreach supervisor on a NIDA-funded sociological research project aimed at AIDS prevention among intravenous drug users. Research duties included the compilation of a data base on the target population, and the development of outreach strategies. Also supervised outreach workers in the field and was responsible for the administration of the Montrose Outreach Center.</p><p>Jan. 1987 to Feb. 1988</p><p>Research Assistant Baylor College of Medicine Interviewer Served as a research assistant and interviewer on a large scale longitudinal research project on deviance over the life course, administered by Howard Kaplan of Baylor College of Medicine.</p><p>Graduate Student Teaching/Research Assistant University of Houston Worked in the Sociology Department as a teaching/ research assistant during my tenure in the Masters Program.
