We welcomed almost 70 students for summer school and credit recovery June 4th through 7th. Our summer school teachers put together a fun thematic unit called Space Camp for all of our attendees. They planned several project based learning opportunities for students and worked on getting them involved in the Summer MyOn Reader Challenge. Our students had lots of fun as well as our teachers.

Our administration staff and new TAP teachers, Amy Milchman, Kari Newell and Jeff Brennan met at the district office June 5th through 7th for the first 3-Day TAP Training. Our team is very excited for this opportunity and hopeful that this new program is going to help our teachers become stronger, which will benefit our students and school greatly.

Our assistant principals and office staff finished up many duties to wrap up the school year and plan for the upcoming year. Some of our summer activities include, finishing the master calendar and 6th-8th grade student schedules, updating our staff handbook, updating our emergency plan, preparing data presentations for returning teachers, preparing items and meetings for new teachers coming to FUSD/Magma Ranch, updating evaluation schedules, printing master schedules for returning staff, ordering textbooks, putting K-5 class lists in School Master, preparing stamp sheets for upcoming year, scheduling all reward trips, updating athletic handbooks, organizing supplies for returning teachers, monitoring all work orders and facility projects, preparing bus assemblies and returning student assemblies, preparing for new student orientation, preparing for Meet the Teacher events and Returning Teacher Week. As you can see, we have our work cut out for us, however we are fortunate because our entire administrative and office team are all returning this year and we have a great team! We look forward to the upcoming school year and making sure we are ready for students on July 23rd!

Enrollment Report Attached MAGMA RANCH K-8 REBECCA HENDRY, PRINCIPAL ENROLLMENT REPORT JULY 5, 2012

GRADE 6th # PRE-K (MR=Speech) # STUDENTS STUDENTS @ Copper Basin 0 Milchman – Reading/Writing Milewski–Science/Social Studies 88 Rogers - Math KINDERGARTEN # STUDENTS Ruiz 30 Sommer 24 GRADES 7th/8th # GRADE 1 # STUDENTS STUDENTS th Huston 28 Johnson -7 Reading/Writing th th Lincoln 26 Mahlum – 7 /8 Science th Viramontes 25 Yeoman– 8 Reading/Writing 192 Manthey – 7th/8th Math Barton - 7th/8th Social Studies GRADE 2 # STUDENTS Nord – 7th/8th Wheel Paul 22 Rudko 22 Stavely 22 Zeppa 23 TOTALS # STUDENTS GRADE 3 # STUDENTS PRE-K 0 Archer 28 KINDER 54 Baldwin 27 GRADE 1 79 Diffen 27 GRADE 2 89 GRADE 3 82 GRADE 4 # STUDENTS GRADE 4 80 Allen 27 GRADE 5 85 Foster 27 GRADE 6 88 Haney 26 GRADE 7 96 GRADE 8 96 GRADE 5 # STUDENTS GRAND TOTAL 749 Booth 28 Massicotte 29 Rogers 28
